Raw Bone Marrow

There are different ways to eat bone marrow. One is making it into a broth, the other is by cooking the bone, or you can also eat it raw!

Bone marrow is a nutrient-dense food that can significantly support your health and beauty. It is rich in collagen (the most abundant protein in your body), promoting healthy skin (more elasticity and hydration = anti-aging) and joint function (GREAT for athletes and older people). Also, it is a source of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), a type of fat that reduces inflammation and enhances immune function. It contains glycine and glucosamine, which helps decrease chronic inflammation and promotes a healthy gut. And it is a source of vitamin B12!

How to eat bone marrow?

There are different ways to eat bone marrow. One is making it into a broth, the other is by cooking the bone and scooping the inside marrow, or you can also eat it raw!

I have shared stories on my Instagram of how I love to eat it raw because it tastes like butter! But kind of fresher and not that sweet. It is terrific! (I promise).

So if you are down for eating it, one fantastic tip is to put the bone in water with high-quality sea salt for a few minutes while eating it raw. This softens the marrow even more and makes it extra creamy and yummy! And easier to scoop out.

Would you try it?

Love,

Pia
